Vintage Manatunga New Zealand Wool Travel Rug/Camp Blanket from the 60s/70s. Style: Manatunga, New Zealand, Māori, Wool, 60s, 70s.
Made by Mosgiel Woollens in Dunedin, South Island, New Zealand. Blue, brown, charcoal and cream. Beautiful Māori-inspired geometric design. Very thick and substantial. Approximately 52" X 66" with an additional 2" fringe. Minor discoloration spot noted (see photo). 100% Virgin New Zealand Wool. Freshly washed.
This "travel rug" is very thick and substantial - perfect for the back of a couch or sofa or the foot of a bed. It is not a thin, cozy throw blanket, but more of a thick camp/stadium/car/horse blanket. This is not a "rug" to place on the floor.
